Interferential
520B is a medium frequency unit that is controlled by
microprocessors. It is equipped with a liquid crystal display (LCD)
as well as two channels. The touch control switches & the LCD allow
quick & precise selection of parameters which are then clearly
displayed on LCD. The therapist gets easily familiar with the
controls & will enjoy simple application of the unit in treatment..
Unique features
Interferential 520B unit, like all other inferential units comes in
two- and four-electrode models as well as a four-electrode model
that can be used in conjunction with a vector scan. Yet it is
distinguished by its auite specified currents: Isoplanar vector
field, Dipole vector field and Russian stimulation.
Classic IF
As shown in figures of page 20 of Principles and Applications of
Interferential There will be no modulated current over the’ axis of
four electrodes joint; %100 percents of modulated interferential
current would be applied in 450 angle of this axis.
Isoplanar vector field
Unlike traditional and old inferential currents in which the AMF
distribution was unevenly emitted between the electrodes,
Interferential current would be distributed evenly over all the
tissues under the electrodes, with 100% modulation. Consequently
exact positioning of the electrode would not be necessary. This
current is applied where the treatment area is wider or where the
treatment area is not quite localized. This type of current is also
recommended in acute pains. It is considered to be the most pleasing
type of current.
Dipole vector field
In this method, 100% modulation is linearly applied. The significant
advantage of this type of current is that the direction of current
can be either selectively determined, or the linear current be
automatically moved round a complete circle. The latter method is
recommended in the treatment of muscular spasms, and the selective
method in case of long tissues such as the sciatic nerves.

Russian stimulation
Research has shown that the use of the 2500 Hz frequency is much
more convenient and effective than the Surge Faradic method using
low frequencies for muscle contraction. This type of current is
particularly useful in the convalescence period after an operation,
when the patient is forbidden to move to prevent Disuse atrophy and
also when the muscle is painful.
50 saved and 50
adjustable programs
Interferential 520B is prepared with 50 saved programs which cover
the entire range of common inferential treatments. Yet, the
therapist would still enjoy the possibility to arrange and save his
or her own desirable program for later use as required.
The book
"Principles and Applications of Inferential"
New discussions regarding inferential, its application and
contradictions as well as the treatment methods are discussed in
detail. One volume of the book accompanies each unit of
